I am a BIG fan of recipes that turn out looking fancier than they actually are – I’ve always been more of a consumer of food than a creator. I mean, I can swing a bit of a cook up if I really need to, but recipe creation is not exactly my forte. So I’m always on the hunt for little shortcut ways to add some fancy to my dishes and avocado roses have been on my hit list for ages. Best discovery? They’re actually far easier than you think! I put together a little video just because sharing is caring.

1. Halve the avocado.
2. Peel off the skin.
3. Slice very finely with a sharp knife.
4. Gently push the avocado on an angle to lengthen it out into a longer shape.
5. Twist the longer shape around itself into a circle.
6. Show off to your friends.

Note: the key is getting the right avocado – the right amount of hardness to keep its form but the right amount of softness to be malleable and sticky enough to stick together. I know, finding the right avocado is like the world’s longest running challenge, but sometimes you do get a winner!

Another note: I have a YouTube channel. It’s very new. There are no things on it, but there will be. Please subscribe, I would love you forever if you do.
